Utility Scale Solar and Storage
AgriSunPower LLC (ASP) has secured land for solar power generation in Pulaski County, the Town of Pulaski, Augusta County and Rockingham County for Hecate Energy LLC (Hecate). Once all necessary regulatory approvals are secured, over 600 MW of new solar energy power will be developed from this land obtained through a unique ASP/Hecate/landowner partnership.
Hecate is the nation’s leading developer, owner, and operator of solar, natural gas, wind, and energy-storage projects. Hecate’s global presence drives best-in-class processes, technical designs, and financing structures across countries — and continents.
Hecate’s leadership team has successfully executed dozens of development projects and acquisitions; operated fleets of power plants; and generated thousands of megawatts from solar, natural gas, wind, oil-fired, coal-fired and hydro-power plants. Hecate’s talent includes seasoned technical, engineering, marketing, financial and statistical experts–with many possessing ten to thirty years in the power industry.
Encompassing decades of experience, Hecate Energy’s management team previously built America’s fourth largest solar company as measured by MW under contract, leading the partnership for the 400 MW solar PPA with CPS Energy of San Antonio, Texas–the largest municipal solar development in the United States.
In Virginia, Hecate developed/built and sold to Dominion Energy its Cherrydale 20 MW and Clarke County 10 MW solar projects both in 2017.
A key to Hecate’s model is a strong local relationship that ASP created for them in Virginia.
In this model, ASP is responsible for Site Control. Hecate brings their strengths and track record in system design, financing, and EPC.
